Undressing / Textiles
As part of the textiles experiment for my project “Undressing,” I combined silicone with feminine coded materials such as laces and ribbons to create objects symbolic of female body. Applying silicone freezes fabric in time and transforms materials as flimsy and delicate as laces into solid and resilient textures.
